A view of an early spring rushing waterfall along NC Hwy 215 just north of the Blue Ridge Parkway. Can you feel the icy water spray and yet the warm spring sun on your back while you listen to the roar of the falls?
This pet portrait is a tribute to a noble breed.
A worthy watcher, this eastern black bear rises up on his hind legs for a better look. Here he is found among white pines and wildflowers on the edge of a high mountain clearing in late spring.
