Gayle Havens is a watercolor artist living in Hendersonville, NC. Sea, sky and land provide the inspiration for her impressionistic paintings. Viewers will often find quiet vistas in her paintings where human artifacts meet nature to create an enduring sense of place.
Gayle studied studio art and art history as an undergraduate student at University of North Carolina-Greensboro and University of New Mexico. She set aside but not her love of painting for many years to run a business and raise a family. In 2006 Gayle returned to painting and exhibiting her work. She is a Signature Member of the Baltimore Watercolor Society and Virginia Watercolor Society, a juried member of the Women Painters of the Southeast, and a member of the Pennsylvania Watercolor Society, the Southern Watercolor Society and American Watercolor Society.
