Sahar Fakhoury
My progression as an artist to contemporary realism evolved with my perception of the world and our human experiences in it. My work is inspired by my observations of people everywhere, on the street, while traveling or doing their daily chore. I am fascinated by the figure form as well as the story that is happening then. By watching their body language, their emotional state, and the body movements I create series of paintings that depicts people in motion, or not, to record the tale of that captured moment. Daily activities of an individual’s life are portrayed on canvas, registering a snap shot of today’s history.
